Co-owner, co-founder, and General Manager of Namche, brings extensive experience to the team. Starting at 15, he helped his father run a movie theater and later assisted in managing a guesthouse in Kathmandu. After moving to Amsterdam in 2006, he worked in various kitchens and hospitality roles. He spent seven years as an ambassador bar & cocktail trainer at CitizenM hotels before co-founding the Nepalese restaurant Bhatti Pasal with friends. Altin's Newari roots inspire his goal of sharing Nepalese hospitality in Amsterdam through shared meals, authentic cuisine, and classic drinks.
Tandoori, Naan and momo Chef
Chef Dipak Adhikari is our talented Tandoori, Naan, and Momo Chef, bringing years of experience from authentic Nepalese kitchens in his motherland, Nepal. He expertly prepares veggie, chicken, and buff momos in three different shapes, adding a creative touch to our menu. With a strong background in both Nepalese and Indian cuisine, he has honed his skills over the years in the Netherlands. Dipak joined our team in July 2024, and his passion for creating perfectly cooked tandoori dishes and soft, fluffy naan enhances the authentic dining experience at Namche.
Head Chef, co-owner & co-founder
Chef Niraj is a culinary visionary with extensive experience. He has served as a head chef in the Dutch kitchen, Spanish kitchen and a continental breakfast at a 4-star hotel in Amsterdam. As chef, co-owner & co-founder at Bhatti Pasal, Niraj refined his passion for authentic Nepalese and Indian cuisine, bringing a new twist to traditional Indian curries. His dishes feature light, smooth flavors and a well-balanced blend of spices, offering a refreshing take on the classic curry experience.
Tandoori & Naan chef and Trainer
Chef Kailash is our skilled Tandoori & Naan chef and trainer, with a rich culinary background
spanning Nepal, Dubai, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. Having worked at various Indian
restaurants in Amsterdam, he brings a wealth of experience to our team. As a former co-owner,
co-founder, and head chef of Annapurna Kitchen in Amsterdam, Kailash is not only a master of
his craft but also a dedicated trainer for our newly joined kitchen members, ensuring the highest
standards of authentic cuisine at Namche.
Sous Chef
Chef Bibek Bastola is our talented Sous Chef, bringing a rich culinary background to Namche.
He earned his culinary diploma in 2016 while working in various Nepalese restaurants in Nepal.
After gaining experience in an authentic Indian restaurant, he assisted his brother's friend in
launching a new Indian restaurant in Amsterdam, where he served as a Curry Chef. Following
the restaurant's immense success, Bibek joined our team in May 2024, ready to elevate our
menu with his passion and expertise.
